    Staff Information Security Engineer Job Description:

    The Staff Information Engineer is responsible for performing, evaluating, and supporting security policies,  assisting in the execution of audits, supporting the regional businesses with IT Security related tasks, managing IT Security related projects, and executing on the day-to-day departmental operational objectives for Achievers and afflicted companies within Canada and the East Coast of the US.



    • Protect information and information systems from unauthorized access, inappropriate use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
    • Forge strong relationships with the business, especially in areas where diplomacy is needed to help ensure that new policies and procedures gain the support they need to be adopted by the organizations.
    • Proactively advise on information security best practices to business functions and end users.
    • Manage the day-to-day operational actives (e.g. Vulnerability management, penetration testing, alert monitoring, etc.) for the various regional organizations.
    • Interact with the Global Cyber Defense Center to share threat intelligence and assist in the triaging and investigations of security incidents
    • Work with the Global Information Security team to assess, select and implement leading edge security tools and technologies.


    • Strong understanding of IT compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, CoBIT, ITIL, etc.)
    • Strong competency in project management in a cross-functional environment and experience in managing remediation activities across the organization.
    • Solid knowledge base of corporate security policies, procedures, and best practices.
    • Strong understanding of tools and defense mechanisms to combat emerging threats
    • Experience in cloud based security technics.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering.
    • CISSP and/or CISA certification
    • Minimum 7 years of experience in information security management
